60 minute class to balance digestion
A class to help improve digestion by working into the lower abdomen through the digestive organs and large intestine meridian line. This class will work your core, stretch and strengthen the hips, and provide you with a deep stretch. Benefits- -Improved digestion -Stronger and more flexible core -Reduced congestion, in both the digestive organs and upper respiratory organs (so it may help reduce constipation and the symptoms of a mild cold). Contraindications- -Pregnancy-this class is not recommended during pregnancy due to the strong core work and twists. -Pelvic floor issues-this class is not recommended for moderate to serious pelvic floor issues. For those with mild pelvic floor dysfunction, you could practice with the suggested modifications. Please listen to your unique body and if anything doesn't feel right for you, then please discontinue practice. -If you have any injury or have had recent surgery, please consult a medical professional before practising Yoga.
Meditation and Ayurvedic head massage for sleep
If you're finding it hard to switch off before going to sleep, this video could help. Ayurvedic head massage to help you relax, also stimulating the Vagus nerve, which we know will activate the relaxation response. Followed by a meditation to help you fall asleep.
Yoga to release lower back tension-10 minutes
A short practice of Yoga therapy corrective exercises and asanas, to help release tension in the lower back and wake up the spine. A great one if you've been sitting a lot or have discomfort in your back or hips. This one's not to be done during Pregnancy due to the several twisting movements, or if you're suffering from acute back pain (but if you have acute back pain, it would be great to do this to strengthen your back once the acute phase is over). As with all exercise, if you have an injury, medical or chronic health condition, please seek clearance from a Medical professional before participating in Yoga.
